May bayan sa Iloilo na unang nagkaroon ng hybrid rice sa buong Region 6.
Ang community hybrid rice model farm sa Banate ang pinaka-unang community-based model farm for hybrid rice sa Western Visayas.
Ito ay may laki na 100 hectares of rice area.
